The fastest, easiest way is to say: We moved.
With just saying those two words, I probably don’t need to say much more.
You most likely can fill in the rest with your own personal horror stories about moving:
Fixing up a house that we lived in for 33 years to get it ready to put up for sale. Packing boxes, renting U-Haul trucks, paying a lot of money to put furniture in storage containers. All the paperwork, anxiety, stress, uncertainty of selling one house and buying another. All that it entails to ‘make the new house ours’. Painting, selecting fixtures, installing a wood floor. Setbacks, chaos, daily routine completely unrecognizable. Workers — some good, some not. Exhaustion, frustration.
But! Delight in discovering some new places, meeting wonderful neighbors…glad to be here.
